Bermuda Bank Accounts
Bermuda is home to more than 500 investment funds, including leading players such as Fidelity, Schroders and Nomura. The investment market in Bermuda handles assets in excess of US$15bn. Bermuda Bank Accounts - Worlds Capitals For InsuranceBermuda is also considered to be one of the world’s capitals for insurance, reinsurance and captive insurance. Indeed a great deal of what happens hundreds of miles away at Lloyd’s of London is the consequence of strings pulled by Bermuda’s giant reinsurers. Bermuda Bank Accounts & Global InsuranceUnfortunately for Bermuda, the global insurance and reinsurance markets are not as profitable as they might be because of a number of problems that will not go away over night. Some experts suggest the global reinsurance market is over-capitalised to the tune of US$50bn. That means, if two insurers have £5m lying around and are competing to underwrite a premium income of £1m, unless they are acting as a cartel, they will undercut each other to the detriment of profitability. Until the over-capacity vanishes, reinsurers (and as a consequence insurers) will have a tough time.
