International Offshore Finance Awards
The Investment International Finance Awards were started
over 20 years ago, established to allow the customer to
recognise and commend excellence and innovation within
the international finance product range.
Not surprisingly, award categories have changed over time.
New products have come into the market and the age of
the internet has meant product providers have had to develop
their offerings to cater for a newer and more sophisticated
customer.
From established onshore companies with an international
presence, to specialist offshore firms, all work to extremely
high standards and offer a range of services usually fully
equal to those of their onshore compatriots.
There is a selection of new categories featuring in our
awards this year, including Best Euro Account and Best
International Bank, reflecting the evolving market.
Now, in their 24th year the awards continue to reward
those institutions who give customers great service and
products and recognising quality among those who have
set the benchmark standard.
The unusual category of Best Stock Market Linked Savings
Product has made an appearance for the second year to
reflect the fact that these sorts of investment products
have become increasingly popular.
Investors have remained interested in having an exposure
to one or more developed world stock markets, but without
the potential hazards involved in an unmediated and unprotected
approach. Thus, a large number of offshore financial companies
have launched bonds and savings accounts with returns
linked to one or more major indices.
Nominations for the 2006 Awards were based on many aspects,
such as asset performance, levels of service, innovation
of products, so congratulations to all the winners and
commiserations to all those who didn’t receive an
award this year.
