Best
Online Bank
The Royal Bank of Scotland
International
Winner of the 2006 award for best internet banking is
The Royal Bank of Scotland International. In a competitive
field – virtually all offshore and international
banks have to have some sort of internet banking capability
if they want to hold their heads up – RBSI has emerged
triumphant.
Respondents to the survey stressed the ease of use and
range of options available on the RBSI website –-one
even saying that, as a ‘computer-phobe’ he
found it easy to use.
Jerry Whitsey, Head of Products and Marketing, said: "At
RBS International we are delighted to learn that the readership
of Investment International have voted us "Best Online
Bank.
“With a global personal and corporate customer base
we believe delivery of a comprehensive online banking
service is vital for our customers' everyday financial
needs. 2006 saw the launch of our multi currency ibanking
service providing personal customers access to all their
transactional and money market accounts, forex capabilty
and secure international payments.
“All this anytime and anywhere in the world. Clearly
your readers have been pleased with our online services
and we are grateful that they have expressed this through
your survey. In 2007 we are already planning further enhancements
to make our customers online experience ever more rewarding."
If there is a wide gap between what internet-enabled banks
offer, the future can only widen that gap as the successful
online banks – such as The Royal Bank of Scotland
International – invest more heavily in web-based
provision and less successful banks perhaps pull out altogether.
Congratulations to The Royal Bank of Scotland International
for having impressed Investment International readers
for the second year in a row.
