Deutsche Bank has appointed Michael McKay as Branch Manager in Guernsey, as it continues to strengthen its senior team in the island. In his new role, Michael will oversee the activities of Deutsche Bank’s banking business in Guernsey and act as its main representative for banking and investment business at regulatory and professional association meetings, to ensure that the Guernsey branch adheres to the Bank’s group and local regulatory and legislative standards. In addition, Michael will lead a number of projects within the wider Channel Islands business and give support to global operational initiatives. Joining Deutsche Bank from the Bank of Ireland, where he most recently held the position of Managing Director with responsibility for all aspects of their offshore business in Guernsey and the Isle of Man, Michael brings with him a wealth of banking and financial services experience. Paul Shevlin, Chief Operating Officer for Deutsche Bank in the Channel Islands, said: “I am delighted to welcome Michael to our team in Guernsey. His role is absolutely vital in ensuring that we continue to offer an efficient, high quality service from our Guernsey branch for all our clients locally. “His arrival comes at a time when we are seeking to significantly build and strengthen our senior team in Guernsey, complementing the recent appointments of Tony Leach as head of our Custodian Trustee Services and Claus Trabold as Relationship Manager.” |
