New finance director for expat financial advice firm

International financial planning company Guardian Wealth Management which advises expats has appointed a new finance director to help drive the growth and expansion plans of the group over the next few years.

Iain Howell, brother to Group Chief Executive David Howell, has joined the group and is based at its Doncaster headquarters. He has taken up responsibility for all the group’s financial operations as it looks to push into new territories as part of its ambitious growth plans.
 
Iain joined from the consumer and professional electronics group Sharp, with a turnover of £600 million, where he was the Director of Finance. Prior to Sharp, he was Industrial Divisional Controller with engineering group Kidde Plc, overseeing 24 subsidiary companies in the US, South America, Europe and Asia.
