From Strength to Strength

Zurich Bank International has successfully weathered the credit crunch storms

Throughout the ‘credit crunch’ Zurich Bank International has gone from strength to strength.

This includes increasing its deposits by 20% in the last quarter of 2008 as depositors found comfort in the corporate strength of Zurich Financial Services, one of the world’s largest financial service providers in the world, which is the ultimate parent company of Zurich Bank International.

Zurich Bank International is a major force in offshore bank deposit taking and has been operating successfully from its base in the Isle of Man since it was founded in 1983, recently celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Zurich Bank International provides a range of deposit accounts in Sterling, Euro & US Dollar currencies. From easy access accounts to fixed term deposits and 1 year fixed rate bonds, Zurich has a product to suit every customer. For the easy access products, including the Zurich Reward Accounts, Zurich Bank International recently won an award as ‘Best No Notice Deposit Provider’ in the 2008 Finance Awards by Investment International.

Zurich Bank International also offers a bespoke Capital Guaranteed Equity Bonds (GEBs) or Structured Product service direct to clients, and to intermediaries with individual clients or a number of clients collectively wishing to deposit a minimum of £500,000.

Graham Sheward, Managing Director, said, “These Capital Guaranteed Structured Products are an incredibly versatile and secure savings option. They link the interest customers earn on a standard bank account to the performance of any tradeable index. That means customers can access the potential growth of an index without the potential risks. As the name suggests the investor’s deposit is always 100% guaranteed at the end of the term. Returns can be linked to an established or emerging market index or to the performance of commodities over a term determined by the customer.”

Personal Service

Zurich Bank International prides itself on its personal service and believes every customer should experience outstanding service. We do not operate a call centre operation. Instead ZBI provides a personal service with all calls being answered in the Isle of Man by a dedicated Relationship Banker.

All our Relationship Bankers are highly trained to deal with the full range of customer enquiries and interfaces. Although most customer contact is over the telephone, customers can and do visit the Isle of Man offices to meet with one of our team in person.

Zurich Bank International operates a Quality Service Framework and a Customer Service Charter is published on its website. All performance standards are measured to ensure standards are maintained or exceeded.
