Fidelity International has become the first UK Asset Manager to launch a free iPhone App for investors. The Fidelity iPhone app gives latest fund prices, data and performance for more than 1,100 funds available on FundsNetwork. Breaking News and regular expert opinions also available, the company announced. It says that the free iPhone app will deliver key information on all of the 1,100 plus funds available on Fidelity FundsNetworkTM, allowing investors to keep up to date with latest fund and market news on the move 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Key features include a fund search facility for all funds on Fidelity FundsNetwork, fund prices and fund facts and performance data. There is also a ‘click to cal’ ability to phone Fidelity representatives directly from the app as well as n interactive fund performance graph, including dynamic benchmark displays. Other features are a save funds to a watch list, breaking news and expert opinions, including Tom Stevenson and Trevor Greetham. The Fidelity iPhone app will be available to everyone from existing Fidelity investors to those simply interested in the financial markets. The launch of the iPhone app is the latest digital media development from Fidelity, having launched a Twitter and Facebook presence for self directed investors earlier this year. ‘The iPhone is used by over two million people in the UK and is increasingly becoming the dominant mobile web platform. Developing an investment app made sense and means that investors can keep abreast of the latest fund and market news, as well as track their fund holdings,’ said Rob Fisher, head of UK personal investments at Fidelity International. The Fidelity app is available for free download from the App Store online and via the iPhone.
