Aviva has announced the launch of International Solutions, a new international medical insurance plan which follows the modular design of its UK equivalent. International Solutions enables customers to tailor their benefits to complement those already offered in their country of residence.Available to the group and consumer markets, International Solutions offers comprehensive benefits, including a 24 hour medical assistance service and 24 hour medical information helpline. The plan also offers five modules to increase cover including wellness benefits, dental and optical and maternity care, and three modules to reduce costs, such as a choice of excesses and reduced outpatient cover. In addition, International Solutions offers an unlimited choice of hospitals, chronic conditions benefit and excess options. Once a customer accepts their quotation, their policy documentation is uploaded onto their personal customer area. A printed copy of the literature is also available. In addition to being able to view their policy benefits, customers can also request amendments to their policy and access information designed to help them get the most from their policy. Andrew Turner, Head of International, Aviva UK Health, said: “As a global supplier, Aviva recognises that healthcare provision differs across the world. With budgets tight, both corporate and individual customers need the flexibility to be able to tailor their medical insurance to suit their needs and to complement the healthcare provision in their country of residence.Offering one of the widest choices of modules available in the market together with easy to understand, tailored policy documentation, International Solutions enables them to do just that. And, with additional benefits such as the medical information helpline providing topical information on anything from vaccinations to swine flu, we believe that International Solutions offers some of the most comprehensive benefits in the market.”
