Halifax Share Dealing is providing its customers with a new Mobile Trading Service that kicks off at the end of January. The service enables customers to easily access their Halifax Share Dealing Account wherever they are and whenever they wish. The new mobile service is free to use although normal commission rates apply when trading. Customers using the new mobile trading service will be able to access their trading account, while on the move 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as safely and as securely as online and telephone trading. The service also comes with a host of additional features including live share prices, the ability to check their portfolio and trade in UK stocks, while on their mobile telephone. Some of the features of the service include: access to instant market quotes; buy and sell shares real time on UK stocks; view the current value of your portfolio; fund your account online so its ready to trade; switch between your ISA, Halifax ShareBuilder, SIPP and CMA accounts. The company says that using this service will enable customers to keep up to date with quick moving market prices and the ability to trade at their finger tips. This, along with Halifax's immediate registration, puts share dealing facilities literally in their pockets. ‘Having listened to our customers, we have introduced this mobile trading service so they can access their Halifax Share Dealing account while on the go. It offers a service that is as safe and secure as trading online,’ said Rick Girling, managing director at Halifax Share Dealing. ‘This gives them the opportunity to take full advantage of rapidly changing markets. With such a compelling and competitive service, there is no reason for all customers not to start trading on their mobile now,’ he added. Halifax Share Dealing is a leading execution-only share trading service providing multi-channel access to over one million customers. It was launched in 1997 and has never charged joining, inactivity or management fees. The Halifax Share Dealing Account enables customers to buy and sell shares real-time online or over the phone. It's easy to use and customers have access to trade on the stock exchange, across international markets as well as bonds and gilts. The usual cost of online purchases is a flat rate of £11.95 commission for UK stocks and £17.50 commission for international stocks. Telephone purchases costs are from £15 for UK stocks with internationals being a flat-rate of £20. It holds stock on behalf of the customer electronically giving additional protection against boiler room scams. Customers can choose from a range of products and services to suit their own investment objectives and levels of risk. As well as the Share Dealing Account, it offers Self-Select Funds ISA, Halifax ShareBuilder, Contracts for Difference, Self-Select Stocks & Shares ISA and Self Invested Personal Pensions.
